Lewis Carroll wrote, “The time has come," the walrus said, "to talk of many things: …” We’re so sorry to tell you that we have had to close down our Kombucha King business unexpectedly and won’t be able to provide any further stock. To be honest, it’s been touch and go for more than a year now but we were committed to operating through the summer at least & just completed the annual audit for our organic certification last week! However, we’ve had a miscommunication with an integral supplier & as we are unable to produce in the interim, we have taken this as a sign that it’s time to move on. We do apologise for the inconvenience. There is no shortage of kombucha options in the current market :-) so we hope you find a local alternative to suit your needs. Your local farmers market will be a great place to start or head over to www.kombuchakamp.com & give brewing at home a go. We have learnt so much in our decade long kombucha journey and we appreciate every lesson and every sale! Thank you all for such phenomenal support! :-) Our very best wishes for the future & cheers to a healthy gut! The Kombucha King Team – Over and Out :-) xx

These characters loosely translate as immortality elixir. There are several centuries of anecdotal accounts and fables surrounding kombucha. The Chinese Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC) refers to the elixir of life and during this period Dr Kombu is said to have imported a tea based probiotic called immortality elixir for the Japenese Emperor. Japanese Samurai also claimed to have carried hip flasks of kombucha. We like to think Kombucha King is our own drop of immortaliTEA. :-)
